Liberia: Division in Churches Undermines Liberia's Growth

-Bishop Dorbor

The General Overseer of the Fire World Pentecostal Assembly International church in New Mataldi, Sinkor Apostle Dr. Peter Dorbor says Liberia's poor infrastructure is because of division among churches in the country nowadays.

"Today, we are lagging behind in terms of infrastructural development in West Africa and this is as a result of the division in the church", the clergyman notes.

Bishop Dorbor made the observation on Saturday, May 13, during the 4th-anniversary celebration of the Cross Barrier Pastoral Network held at Success Evangelical Outreach Ministry Incorporated, or SEOMI, in Caldwell, Montserrado County.

Cross Barrier Pastoral Network is a conglomeration of more than 20 denominations whose aim is to propagate the message of Christ.

Serving as guest preacher, Bishop Dorbor reveals that there are too many battles in the church today because of eagerness for prosperity by heads of churches.

He says instead, the focus of the church of Liberia must be to propagate God's message, something he says will help to depopulate hell and populate Heaven.

"Our mandate is to propagate Christ's messages; let the church become one voice because we're living in a court world."

He points out that no leader takes state power without becoming a cult, saying they're all cults that's why we're still struggling to have better infrastructure.

He continues that Liberian churches are fighting amongst themselves, and pastors are accusing one another of things, according to him, that continue to pull down the nation.

"Today, women and men of God are members of masonic craft and this thing is affecting us as a country, we criticize and speak against each other; this is not a good sign", he adds.

For his part, the founder and general overseer of SEOMI, Evangelist Henry S. Mayson, explains that the Cross Barrier Pastoral Network was established on May 14, as a result of a healing revival held with Archbishop John Praise Daniel from Abuja, Nigeria.

According to Reverend Mayson, the organization is an interdenominational ministry with a vision to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ with positive change unto the generation through fervent intercession.

"Our vision, mission and goals are to promote intercessory prayer to the body of Christ by standing in the gap. We're are geared towards working together with churches and ministries on God's kingdom matters such as crusades, conferences, revival seminars and workshops, among others, he adds.

However, he says the organization is also working to promote unity among the five-fold ministry in the body of Christ.
