Africa Day, commemorated on May 25 annually, celebrates the continent's unity, diversity, and progress.

This year's celebration is particularly significant as it marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the African Union.

During its 2023 Annual Meetings in Sharm El Sheikh, the Bank Group and host country Egypt will on Thursday, May 25 hold a youth dialogue under the theme: "Africa's Youth, Africa's Development Answer" to mark this special milestone.

The event will provide a unique platform for Africa's youth to share their perspectives on the continent and deepen their understanding of Agenda 2063 -- the Sustainable Development Goals -- and the Bank Group's High 5 Priority objectives.

This special Africa Day will showcase the continent's rich cultural diversity through dressing, music and dancing. The event will be streamed live on the Bank's online platforms.
